Summer Camp at Camp Metigoshe

What is it that sets an ordinary week of the summer apart from a week at camp?

Camp is not ordinary. It's unusual, unconventional, uncomparable, and unbelievable! Camp Metigoshe is a summer Bible camp for all ages and all abilities. We have adventure camps for teenagers, streamlined weeks for younger campers, special camps for the mentally- and physically-challenged, and week-long day camps for young children in their own communities. Don't let tight family budgets stop you from having this experience; call the camp office for information about confidential camp scholarships. The only thing you have to do is to choose the camp week that you would like to attend. (Well, you might also have to find some mosquito spray to bring with you!)

What should you expect? Good question! Do you want to meet some new friends? You can expect that. Do you want to strengthen your faith? You can certainly expect that. Do you want to know what it feels like to jump into a lake after taking a sauna? You can expect that. Do you want to meet a counselor who can't wait to find out what an awesome person you are? You can expect that . . . and get it.

Do you know we try to "live simply" at Camp Metigoshe? Our cabins are lit by the soft glow of lanterns. Outdoor troughs with running water and outhouses replace sinks, showers, and flushable toilets. Most mornings begin with a quick, refreshing, revitalizing jump into Pelican Lake, not exactly your everyday experience!

The goal of our summer camp program is to provide an unforgettable adventure anchored in Christ and a place for young people of all ages to experience the great gifts of God.
